wreath redo: granny snowflakes

y'all.  i know you're getting sick of this darned ole burlap wreath.

BUT NOT ME!! :)

i love that it is so old fashioned but chic.
i love that it fluffs back up super easily.
i love that it looks fab with my blue door.

and so. another little transformation of it.

(i think i get these seasonal decorating tendencies from teaching school for 10 years.  and pulling out the bunnies in april and the pumpkins in november and the books and apples in september.  forgive me.)

i bought these adorable snowflakes a while ago at a yard sale.  the price?  a quarter.  i know, that's RIDICULOUS.  someone  knotted or crocheted or whatever BY HAND each one of these and then sold a set of 12 for a quarter?!?!?

i just used the same old wire i always use (32 gauge- super thin and easy to cut with scissors) and wired the snowflakes on.

doesn't it look cute?

would also look cute with those glittery snowflakes the dollar tree is selling right now- 3 for a dollar.

oh yeah, and it's a chilly 65 degrees as i hang this little guy. thanks, south texas.
